Similar to Apple’s Developer Transition Kit (which was a special Mac Mini model for app developers with the M1 chip inside), the Snapdragon Developer Kit is a small desktop PC. Microsoft didn’t share specific pricing or availability, but notes it will be “cost-effective.” The kit will be available for purchase at the Microsoft Store this summer as part of a partnership between Microsoft and Qualcomm Technologies. Microsoft says that this kit is an affordable Windows on ARM-based PC that is specially designed for developers. The forefront of those plans is a new Snapdragon Developer Kit. Today, at its annual Build Developer conference, the company detailed new ways for developers to port their apps to ARM-based PCs like the Surface Pro X. Just as Apple did almost a year ago with the ARM-based M1 chip, Microsoft is getting ready to finally dive into ARM-based architecture. I can build to device, which I guess is my only choice at the moment. Both complete without error, but Xcode still can't build.Ģ) I've set excluded architectures to "Arm64" on the project, target and pod project.ģ) I've added x86 64 and i386 to Architectures for project, target and pod project.Ĥ) I've set all configurations to "Build Active Architecture Only" to Yes.ĥ) I've even created (and deleted) a "VALIDARCHS" user defined setting with the proper architectures to all three projects.Ħ) I've cleaned build folder many times and deleted derived data folder completely, and restarted Xcode. I've tried everything that's been reported to fix it, no dice.ġ) I've tried "pod install" & "pod update" with a Rosetta2 version of Terminal. It only popped up when trying to build on my new M1 MacBook Air and Xcode 12. I've seen reports of this as an Xcode 12/Cocoapods issue that my project didn't have with 12.1 or 12.0. Using Xcode 12.2, the specific error is "building for iOS Simulator, but linking in object file built for iOS, file './FIRAnalyticsConnector' for architecture arm64".
